Tenpole Tudor - Swords of 1000 Men
♫ Now if the Middle Ages had only rocked out and partied like this after winning victories in important battles....how cool would that have been? ♫ Beats the lute any day of the week :P
This is an old and obscure British punk rock group called Tenpole Tudor that never quite made it across the pond in the US. The lead singer is named Edward Tudor-Pole (I'm not kidding) and he claims to be a descendent of Henry VIII, but he's not showing off his begats so I cannot imagine from whom Eddie thinks he's descended. I'd really like to see these begats!
So imagine....this is the party scene after the Yorkists have trounced the Lancastrians and the young'uns like Edward, Earl of March are partying hearty. They'd ♫ assembled the knights, their swords were sharp, there was hope in their English hearts, and HOORAH YAY! ♫ they won! Air guitar and/or drums, as well as head-banging, encouraged as you envision the Middle Ages made just a little bit more *fun* with punk rock ;-) ♫
