Having received no word back from TPTB after incessant pestering (and you know I can do that)....except to be quietly removed as admin from all of Darrah's groups so that they can likely be swept away in the wake of her departure from Newsvine....The Royal Fanzine will be the replacement group for British Royal Family Fans.
You don't know how hard I had to work for that title.
[glares at fans of all sports teams called *Royals*]
Because the old group still exists, I couldn't have the same title. But I figured, better safe than sorry and create it now rather than attempt it in the midst of some tech mess.
If you are nimble-fingered and scamper posthaste within the next couple of hours, you will not languish in Pending, but I cannot make any promises if you're tardy and it's past midnight EST, as I shall be backing away from the trainwreck. Rest assured I will get to you when it looks safe enough to venture out of the bunker.
Whilst of course we shall continue to cover our favorite British royals and their merry hijinks....replete with fashion critique when there are Royals on Parade, also known variously as *wouldja lookit that hat!* or *does that dress make her arse look fat?*....feel free to toss in such things as royal history or the hinjinks of other country's royals. There's a new royal wedding coming up this year if Princess Madeleine of Sweden does't dump her fiance again. Those are always fun.
But do remember, as the name emphasizes, this group is for fans. So if you want to come boo-hoo about your 69p or make anti-monarchial comments, well, we're not going to like that, and I shall take great pleasure in booting any malcontents who presume to ruin rollicking royal fun :P
Come one, come all, if this floats your Mary Rose!
O, and you can always toddle over to Ye Olde History Vine, too. If Newsvine ever gets it together, there's going to be lots of royal historical stuff. So much that you will probably beg me to stop.
Don't you think work would be much more fun if everyone got such fanfare when they went to lunch? Look at what the Queen gets:
Trumpet fanfare as the Queen and the senior Royal family arrive at Westminster Hall for lunch.
